Verifiable deliverability
Ask for the delivery report (DLR) of every message, not just an average percentage. A serious provider shows you the final status of each message and lets you audit it.

Speed and availability
An OTP code that arrives late is a useless code. Ask how long a message takes to leave the platform and what happens if a server fails.
